A new moon happens when the sun and the moon come together at the same degree of a sign. Looking up from Earth, they appear in the same spot. This so-called conjunction sets the tone for the entire lunar cycle ahead. This time, we step into the deep emotional realm of Scorpio, where intensity, truth, death, rebirth & transformation and emotional honesty set the theme for the month.

This month has something special to offer: a mega Scorpio new moon with Sun, Moon, Mercury and Lilith in a tight cluster, forming a powerful and rare kite pattern with Uranus as the focal point. We are shaken to our very core. With nine planets in water signs and a grand trine between Jupiter, Lilith and Saturn/Neptune, the cosmos is asking us to let go on a soul level, face the truth we avoided, and purge what no longer aligns.

New Moon – The Starting Point

The Sun, Moon Mercury and Lilith join forces at the end of Scorpio. Venus is also in the deep waters of this sign. This cluster creates a Scorpio vortex that works like an emotional earthquake. It digs up what has been buried under years of coping, silence or survival patterns. Nothing shallow survives this new moon. It asks for truth, courage and inner integrity, while relationship patterns, emotional wounds, sexual energy, boundaries, intimacy and power dynamics rise.

At the same time, retrograde Uranus sits in exact opposition, serving breakthroughs, disruptions and sudden clarity. Old values and attachment patterns (Taurus) clash with emotional depth and intensity (Scorpio). Uranus shakes loose what is rigid. It breaks open old emotional armor. It insists on awakening, while Jupiter on one side and Saturn/Neptune on the other ease the tension with motherly love and spiritual depth.

A total of 9 planets in water signs strengthen our empathy, intuition, and psychic sensitivity, supporting the energetic cleansing. The grand trine between Jupiter in Cancer, Lilith in Scorpio and Saturn in Pisces remains active through most of this lunar cycle, providing nurturing, structure and courage for this deep emotional work.

Collectively, all this water energy signals major shifts in the global emotional climate. Systems that hold suppressed truths break open. This can show up in politics, finance, ecology, and collective psychology. Uranus in Taurus often brings earthquakes, floods, economic instability, and shifts in values. The kite pattern suggests breakthroughs rather than breakdowns, but the process may feel intense.

Observing 3I/Atlas, the truths it brings (up to the realization that we hardly know anything at all) and how it reforms our perception of space, is any astrologer’s wildest dream! 

If we regard Atlas as consciousness coming from other dimensions, the moment where it reaches closest to Earth in such a perfect orchestra - a day before the new moon in Sagittarius (expansion of consciousness!), and two days before the Solstice (the light returns to the northern hemisphere) - speaks of a big turning point. And suddenly, all the emotional and energetic cleansing that we are asked to do this cycle makes sense: we need to purge to let the new light, the new frequencies, the new consciousness in!

This lunar cycle is a true transformational deep-water dive. The New Moon in Scorpio with its mega-conjunction invites you to step into your deepest emotional truth. The grand trine offers support, the kite invites awakening, and the chain of aspects invites you to integrate mind, heart, body, soul and structure.
