A new moon happens when the sun and the moon come together at the same degree of a sign. Looking up from Earth, they appear in the same spot. This so-called conjunction sets the tone for the entire lunar cycle ahead. This time, we step into the far-reaching fire of Sagittarius, where truth, expansion, belief systems and higher understanding set the theme for the month.
This month has something very special to offer: a powerful triple gateway of consciousness. One day before the New Moon, 3I/Atlas reached its closest point to Earth, then follows the New Moon in Sagittarius, and one day later the Solstice turns the light. This is a rare orchestration of cosmic thresholds. The cosmos is asking us to recalibrate our inner compass, release outdated belief systems, and open ourselves to entirely new frequencies of truth!
New Moon – The Starting Point
20 December 2025, 28° Sagittarius, 08:43 ICT Cambodia Time
This New Moon marks a big, big turning point.
Just one day before, 3I/Atlas reached its closest point to Earth. If we regard Atlas as consciousness coming from different dimensions, this timing is astonishing. A cosmic messenger, twice as old as the Earth, arrives, just when the Sun and Moon unite in Sagittarius, the sign of higher truth and expansion, and immediately after, the Solstice turns the wheel of light. The message is clear: something old has been purged so something radically new can enter.
Observing 3I/Atlas and the truths it brings, up to the humbling realization that we hardly know anything at all, is any astrologer’s wildest dream. Its closest approach one day before this New Moon, and just before the Solstice, speaks of a massive recalibration of perception. New frequencies stream in. New information. New awareness. And suddenly, the deep emotional and energetic cleansing of the previous cycle makes sense. We had to clear space to receive this.
The New Moon in Sagittarius itself is not gentle or romantic. The Sun and Moon form an exact square to Neptune at the very last degree of Pisces. This is the collision between belief and illusion, truth and deception, spiritual truth and outdated religious or ideological dogma. On a personal level, this can feel disillusioning. Something you believed in may dissolve. A narrative may collapse. Confusion can arise, but it is sacred confusion. It clears false faith so real faith can be born.
At the same time, Mercury squares the lunar nodes, pointing to karmic crossroads in thinking, communication and decision-making. The mind is challenged to choose between repeating old stories or stepping onto a new mental timeline.
Jupiter in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries, highlighting the tension between emotional safety and the wound of self-assertion. Collectively and personally, we are asked to heal where protection turns into overprotection, and where courage was once punished. This sets the stage for the coming weeks, especially as Jupiter will later be activated strongly.
Neptune trine Lilith adds an undercurrent of spiritual truth rising from the depths. Suppressed wisdom, especially around feminine truth, intuition and sovereignty, flows back into consciousness. This is subtle, but oh so powerful.
Collectively, this New Moon can coincide with revelations that shake belief systems, spiritual institutions, media narratives or ideological frameworks. Let’s welcome disillusionment as the first step to liberation.

This day carries immense weight. Lilith leaves Scorpio after a long and intense journey since March 2025, where deep collective shadows around women’s rights, children’s protection and sexual sovereignty were exposed. As she enters Sagittarius, the energy shifts from excavation to integration. From darkness to light. From powerlessness to sovereignty. Truth becomes a healing force.
At the same time, Venus squares Saturn, asking us to mature in love, values and responsibility. Emotional or relational reality checks may arise, but they serve long-term integrity.
Then the Solstice arrives. The Sun enters Capricorn and turns the wheel of light. This is a moment of stillness and reorientation. The invitation is to ground the incoming frequencies into structure, commitment and embodied wisdom.
