Cosmic Energies 22/09-20/10/2025

ree

A new moon happens when the sun and the moon meet at the exact same degree of a sign. Looking up from Earth, they appear to occupy the same spot in the sky. This sacred conjunction sets the tone for the entire lunar cycle that follows.

This time, we meet at the final, critical degree of Virgo, a point of profound completion. And this is not just any new moon. It is a partial solar eclipse, arriving hand in hand with the fall equinox. We are standing at a cosmic crossroads where death and rebirth are not two points on a line, but one swirling, alchemical moment. The snake is biting its own tail.

New Moon & Partial Solar Eclipse – The Starting Point

22 September 2025, 29° Virgo, 02:54 am ICT, Cambodia time

We begin at the end. The Sun and Moon meet at the final degree of Virgo, inviting a grand finale to a cycle of purification. This is a cosmic reset. If the first Virgo new moon at 0 degrees asked us to prepare the ground, this one, at 29 degrees, invites us to plant the seed of our most authentic self.

This rebirth is supported by a breathtaking celestial pattern. A powerful kite pointing directly at Saturn (structures) and Neptune (visions) at the Pisces-Aries cusp (also known as the cosmic gap, the mystical seam where one world ends and another begins). This creates immense tension between the old structures that bind us and the dreams that liberate us. It's the pressure needed for alchemy. The harmonious wings of this kite, Uranus and Pluto, provide the energy for transformation: innovative ideas (Uranus), the power to reshape systems (Pluto).

The message is underscored by the grand retrograde. All planets beyond Jupiter are moving retrograde, a celestial mandate to turn from the noise of the world and focus on our inner alchemy. The louder the collective becomes, the more essential it is to find our quiet center. As within, so without.

The theme of descent into depth begins immediately as Mars enters Scorpio on the same day. This is not a time for superficial action. It is a call for profound shadow work, courageous vulnerability, and the transformative power that only comes from staring into our own depths.

The grand trine of Jupiter, Lilith, and the North Node continues its blessing, empowering the rise of the divine feminine and our deepest intuitive knowing.

This eclipse is an invitation. What will you consciously choose to grow in the place of what no longer serves you?

Practical tips to ground and anchor the energies in this lunar cycle:

  • Walk barefoot

  • Practice alternate nostril breathing for balance

  • Cook with root vegetables

  • Meet yourself in mirror meditations

  • Write a gratitude list of things/people you are grateful for. Add 3 things daily.

Unfolding – Throughout the Month

23 September

The Sun enters Libra, marking the Fall Equinox. For a fleeting moment, day and night are in perfect equilibrium. This is one of the four major pillars of the tropical zodiac, a sacred pause where the whole universe exists in perfect harmony. This is the sacred moment between breaths, a point of pure balance before the light begins to wane. Cultures have long honored this turning point. The Celtic festival of Mabon celebrated the second harvest, a time of gratitude for the abundance reaped and preparation for the introspection of winter. It is a moment to find that same equilibrium within ourselves before the descent into the darker, more internal half of the year.

24 September

Mars in Scorpio squares Pluto in Aquarius.

The first test of depth. Power struggles may emerge, but the real work is to channel this intense energy inward, using it to dismantle internal power structures.

2 October

Mercury in Libra squares Jupiter in Cancer.

Our thoughts may feel overblown or optimistic beyond reason. Practice discernment between a true inspired download and mere mental inflation.

4 October

Mercury in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries

Venus in Virgo opposes the North Node in Pisces

Healing conversations are possible, but they require touching old wounds. Venus here asks us to examine if our values and habits are in alignment with our soul's destiny.

6 October

Mercury enters Scorpio

Our conversations, thoughts, and inquiries plunge beneath the surface. We seek truth, not trivialities.

7 October

Full Moon at 14° Aries/Libra.

The climax of this cycle activates the axis of self (Aries) and other (Libra). With Venus on the South Node sextile both Lilith and Jupiter, this Full Moon offers a profound chance for collective and personal healing of the feminine. It is an invitation to let go of ancient, patriarchal belief systems around how women should be, act, and love. We are called to welcome the divine feminine in all her aspects: the fierce protector and the gentle nurturer, the sovereign queen and the wild mystic.

Full Moon Ritual:

Light a candle.

Place one hand on your heart, one on your womb.

Breathe deep into your belly and ask yourself:

If I could be both soft and strong,

If I could show my wholeness with no restriction or fear,

What would I do differently?

How would I speak?

How would I love?

How would I stand in my power?

Journal, paint, dance, express what comes up for you in whatever way you feel drawn to.

8 October

Venus in Virgo sextile Jupiter in Cancer

A beautiful, expansive energy for love, connection, and finding beauty in practical service. A moment of grace.

11 October

Venus in Virgo opposes Saturn in Pisces

A reality check in relationships and values. It’s time to commit to what is truly sustainable and release what is built on shaky ground.

14 October

Venus enters Libra

Pluto turns direct

A day of Venusian shifts and a powerful turnaround. Venus enters Libra, seeking harmony and balance in her own sign. She immediately opposes Neptune in Aries, bringing a wave of idealism and potential illusion to our partnerships. This is swiftly followed by a harmonious trine to both Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius, a powerhouse alignment that brings sudden insights, liberation in love, and the potential to rebuild relational dynamics on a foundation of authenticity and collective good.

Then, the day's second major event: Pluto turns direct at 1° Aquarius. After its five-month retrograde journey since 4 May 2025, the planet of profound transformation moves forward again. This is a powerful moment to reflect. What changes began in your community, your friendships, or your vision for the future during this introspective period? What seeds were planted around 7 March 2024, the last time Pluto was at this degree? These visions are now ready to move forward with conscious, unstoppable power.

17 October

Sun in Libra square Jupiter in Cancer

A day where optimism may clash with reality. Avoid overpromising or overextending yourself.

18 October

Sun in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries

A powerful day for healing old wounds around partnership, balance, and fairness. Vulnerability is your strength. Mars in Scorpio trines the North Node in Pisces, giving us the driven energy to take action aligned with our destiny.

19 October

Mercury in Scorpio trines the North Node in Pisces

Our deepest, most investigative thoughts and conversations are perfectly aligned with our soul's path. Truth-telling is healing.

20 October

Mercury conjunct Mars in Scorpio

Words become weapons of profound truth or acts of deep intimacy. Speak with courage and passion, for what you say now carries immense power to transform.

Closing Reflections

This lunar cycle is the sacred bridge between what was and what will be. We began this Virgo journey with a new moon at its first degree, immersed in the work of purification. We end it with an eclipse at its final degree, ready to plant the seed of a new self. The kite in the sky showed us the way: to allow the old to dissolve into the cosmic gap with faith, so that the new can be born from vision and innovation.

With Pluto moving direct and Mars and Mercury uniting in the depths of Scorpio, the final week of this cycle asks for integration. What did you discover in the shadows? How will you use that power to speak, act, and relate more authentically?

Ask yourself:

  • What seed am I planting for my future self?

  • How can I embrace both my strength and my softness without apology?

  • Where am I being called to speak a deep, transformative truth?
